Telugu people are an Ethnic Group primarily located in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India and neighbouring areas such as Pondicherry , Tamilnadu , Karnataka , Maharashtra , Chattisgarh and Orissa (the areas bordering Andhra Pradesh). Many have emigrated to countries such as the United States , the United Kingdom , South Africa , Australia , Mauritius , Fiji , Réunion and Malaysia .
