Tanakh is the name for music written and improvised by a Musical Collective from Richmond, Virginia . The ethnic fusion collective was formed in 2000 by its primary songwriter — veteran producer and recording engineer, Jesse Poe .

Some of the notable people who have collaborated with the outfit include members from Broken Hips (Phil Murphy and Tom Brickman), Cracker ( David Lowery , Johnny Hickman), Dirty Three ( Mick Turner ), and Ravi Shankar associate, Nirmal Bajekal .
