He graduated from Wagar High School in 1979. According to his year book, his pastimes in high school were clubbing and going to concerts. He quotes Ian Dury 's Sex, Love and Rock and Roll. Cojocaru began working in 1991 for the Canadian fashion magazine '' Flare ''. After moving to Hollywood , he began writing a column. He was People Magazine 's West Coast fashion editor, and has written an autobiography, ''Red Carpet Diaries: Confessions of a Glamour Boy'' (2003). In 2003 , he joined the cast of '' Entertainment Tonight '', providing shrill-voiced comments on celebrity fashion. He has also worked at E! , '' Access Hollywood '', and MTV . In 2003 and 2004 , Cojocaru worked on '' American Idol '', helping the contestants select new wardrobe pieces from show sponsor Old Navy . Cojo has had two kidney transplants. The first was removed when it became infected with the Polyomavirus , a condition that can cause incompatibility and eventual loss of the transplanted kidney.
