UTSA's campus is conviently located 2 miles north of the Medical Center, and continues to invest in the biomedical fields. Not far from the medical center in northwestern San Antonio are the Southwest Research Institute and the Southwest Foundation For Biomedical Research , also partners with the Health Science Center.
