"Something Kinda Ooooh" was the thirteenth single to be released by . The single charted at number three, returning them to the UK Top 3 for the first time since " I'll Stand By You " in 2004 , making it their 13th consecutive Top 10 single in the UK. It was the 36th biggest selling single in the UK in the whole of 2006. Top 40 Singles of 2006 , from BBC Radio 1 website . Since it's release, the single has sold in excess of 165,000 copies in the UK, making "Something Kinda Ooooh" their 4th biggest selling single of their career.

The music video for "Something Kinda Ooooh" was filmed on the day of its premiere on UK music TV station ''The Box'' on September 21 , 2006 .

It features the girls "driving" sports cars in front of a green screen showing the streets of London , with the girls dancing in front of strobing lights.

Cheryl has a car to herself, Nadine shares with Kimberley , and Nicola shares with Sarah .

However, The Box had actually shown an early edit of the video, and the finished version was shown on Channel 4 's Popworld on September 30 , 2006 .

It followed the footsteps of previous Girls Aloud videos, becoming a popular request on Music Video Channels and spending weeks in the Top 5.

The featured sports cars of the video are a red TVR Tuscan 2 Convertible , and a blue TVR Tamora .

In a recent interview on MTV Hits with the girls,Tweedy admitted that "Something Kida Ooooh" was not their best video. She, along with the rest of the girls blamed lack of time for the video's outcome and revealed that the video was not what her or the girls had wanted it to be.

  • On 4 October 2006 , "Something Kinda Ooooh" became the first Girls Aloud single since " Sound Of The Underground " to go onto Radio 1 's A List, guaranteeing the song at least 20 plays a week before the single release.

  • On 16 October 2006 , the single was released as a download. It raced up the ITunes Most Downloaded Chart, scoring the girls a #1. The download success on here led to "Something Kinda Ooooh" entering the official UK Top 40 at #5 on download sales alone, a first for a British act.

  • On 26 November 2006 , the single re-entered the Top 10 by moving back up 3 places to 9. On 31 December 2006 , the single re-entered the Top 25 by moving back up 11 places to 21.

  • A live recording of the song appears as a b-side on the 2007 single " Sexy! No No No... ". Perhaps as a result of this the song moved back into the iTunes Top 100 Pop Songs list, peaking at a position of #62
