With him being so popular,it paid off. He parted ways with Swishahouse on good terms and formed his own independent label, Boss Hogg Outlawz with his brother, Rayface. He then released an album with former friend E.S.G. , entitled Boss Hogg Outlawz. It scored a minor hit single with the track "Get Ya Hands Up". BIOGRAPHY

During his latter years in high school, he was already an underground rap superstar in the North Houston community. He went on to become one of the original members of Swishahouse , which was headed by Michael 5000 Watts , who is from Rosewood, which is not far from Scenic Woods.

Slim says that his rap name comes from the fact that as a teenager, he was very tall and lanky before he filled out. He stands 6'6" tall. The Thug part comes from people's assumptions of him due to his braids and sunglasses.

In 2002, Slim Thug was involved in a beef between himself and defunct Swishahouse artists Big Pic, AD, and Lil Mario. The beef started when Pic & Lil Mario started bootlegging Slim's mixtapes, and were caught, it is believed jealousy played a factor, due to the fact that Slim had a huge following through out the south and was garnering a lot of success, while the three struggled with Swishahouse. This led to them dissing Slim on various mixtapes, but without saying his name. Slim Thug retaliated with " Tha Boss ", an entire mixtape consisting of eddie kovacs which virtually took shots at Big Pic, AD, and includes how the whole the conflict started. In fact, the only artist that Slim Thug never verbally went after was Big Love, proving to be a smart move after having to retreat from a Big Love right cross in front of Selective Sounds. After Big Pic released "World War III" to retaliate against Slim Thug, with help from AD and Lil Mario, Slim Thug released "The End of World War III", to solidify his victory against Big Pic, AD, and Lil Mario.

In 2003 , Swishahouse recorded an album entitled, The Day Hell Broke Loose 2 Aka Major Without A Major Deal , with a song called called Still Tippin , which featured Slim Mike Jones , and originally, Chamillionaire . With the full flegede return of Paul Wall , and the departure of Chamillionaire, put Paul's verse on the song, made the song into a video, which brought them into stardum.

Slim Thug's debut Album , '' Already Platinum '', was released on July 12 , 2005 . It features the singles "Like a Boss", "Three Kings", "I Ain't Heard Of That", and "Incredible Feeling". The album debuted at #2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums Chart. '' Already Platinum '' went Gold . The album was A&Red by Shawn Suggs.

Slim Thug was involved in a beef with Lil' Flip . The beef started when Lil Flip on Z-Ro 's "From The South", (which featured Paul Wall on fellow Houston rapper Z-Ro's Let The Truth Be Told album) where Flip made subliminal disses to Paul Wall in which Slim Thug felt that he was being addressed, he then released a diss song "Buss the Tech" towards Lil Flip.

Slim Thug has had some success with his mixtape releases. He has proclaimed himself the "Big Boss of the South", referring to the U.S. South (where he currently resides), and the "Big Boss of the North", referring to north side of Houston where he is from.

He was in a relationship with and also made a cameo appearence in the video for her single She Don't .

In 2005 , he also appeared in a Remix of the song " Luxurious " by Gwen Stefani , Check On It by Beyoncé , and remix to LeToya Luckett 's All Eyes On Me along with Paul Wall and J Bizzle (Jeff Burns).

He is also on good terms with most rappers from Houston (with the notable exception of Lil Flip , E.S.G. and other members of the Screwed Up Click ), and has found new workmates in the likes of Jay-Z (who was featured on a remix of his song "I Ain't Heard Of That") and rapper 50 Cent . Slim Thug was also featured on The Game 's "One Blood" remix.

He makes an appearance on LeToya's #1 debut album (July 25 2006) on the track, Hey Fella, And she appears on his album, Already Platinum , on the track "This Is My Life".

On August 31 , 2006 he won an MTV Music Award for "Best R&B Video" for the song "Check On It" with singer Beyoncé.

He Collaborated with Hilary Duff on the With Love Remix.

Slim Thug is most notable for his verse on " Still Tippin' " where he states "These niggas don't understand me cuz im boss hogg on candy"

Slim Thug had his single where his song appeared again.
