''Simhapuri'' is the old name of present day Nellore city. Some times the same city refered to as
''Vikrama Simhapuram''. The city was founded by Raja Vikrama Simha of Chola Dynasty .

The train is operated on daily basis and is not only popular but also very important as it contributes maximum in the reduction of heavy rush.
