Saljūq Beg ('' (chieftain) of a branch of Oghuz Turks known as the '''Qýnýq'''. He was the Eponymous ancestor of the ''' Seljuq Dynasty '''. Tradition says Saljūq had four sons: Mikaīl, Yonus, Mūsā and Arslān. Saljūq's grandson Toghrül , son of Mikaīl conquered Khorasan in the mid- 11th Century , and later advanced into the western parts of Persian .
