The ''Scary Movie'' series is a series of comedy films written by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer which mainly specialize in spoofing the current latest and most popular Horror Films . The two main actors and charters of the series are Anna Faris as Cindy Campbell and Regina Hall as Brenda Meeks . They are joined together in different movies by new or reoccurring actors and characters. The series has become highly popular, especially with teens who tend to enjoy the films’ rather crude humor. The Fifth Film is currently under pre-production and is slated for a 2008 release. PLOTS '' Scary Movie '' ''Scary Movie'' is the first film in the series. In the beginning, the film was meant to be only “One film“ and not to become a franchise like other films, “No Mercy. No Shame. No Sequel.“.
