VIDEO

The video begins with lead vocalist Ryan Key laying on his bed in an apartment, when suddenly, he gets swallowed by the bedsheets (this is where the track starts to play). Apparently, he is now in another dimension, ending up next to the wife of another man. The man notices this stranger and Ryan runs away from him. Hiding in the bathroom, Ryan quickly escapes through the window, where he ends up on a Neighborhood street. Someone dressed in dark clothing gestures to offer him a drink, when Ryan notices he is in a bar filled with Asian people. The chase continues through a hallway, underwater, to a hospital bed, and back. The video is based in a scene of the film Being John Malkovich , where Cameron Diaz chases Catherine Keener within the Subconscious of Malkovich .

TRIVIA

  • The room with the girl is the same room from Ocean Avenue 's video, where Ryan was sleeping. Because of this, one could guess that she is Holly (Note that Holly is actually the personified Hollywood, California. Yellowcard's songs are symbolic when using "Holly Wood" as their theme).

  • The video's director, Marc Webb, uses a trademark, a symbol of a white lamb, in his music videos. This raised a possible parallel between this video and the Ocean Avenue video, who also directed it and left his "mark" in.

  • This same symbol can also be found in another popular Marc Webb video, Brand New 's video for Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades .

  • Another trademark of Marc Webb is that there is seldom, if any, musical performance of the band in the video, and includes a band member running, both which can also be seen in the "Sic Transit Gloria..." video, as well as both his Yellowcard videos.

  • The jacket worn by Ryan Key in this video is the same one that Chester Bennington from Linkin Park waers in the video for What I've Done
