Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference ('''RMAC''') is a College Athletic Conference which operates in the western United States , mostly in Colorado with some members in Nebraska and New Mexico . It participates in the NCAA 's Division II.

Founded in 1909, the RMAC is the third oldest college athletic conference in the United States, surpassed only by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association and the Big Ten Conference . For its first thirty years, the RMAC was considered a major conference equivalent to today's Division I.

Colorado State University (then known as Colorado A&M University, left 1938 to form the Skyline Conference )

Colorado College (left 1910, rejoined 1914, left out of 1967 RMAC reorganization)

Colorado School Of Mines

University Of Utah (left 1938 to form the Skyline Conference )
