Earlier in 2006, Goldring represented the Green Party Of Canada as a candidate for the Canadian House Of Commons in that year's Federal Election , running for the position of Member Of Parliament (M.P.) in the federal Riding of Burlington . He finished fourth, behind successful Conservative candidate Mike Wallace , defeated former Liberal M.P. Paddy Torsney , and New Democratic Party (N.D.P.) candidate David Laird .
