Dr. Rebati Mohan Saha of Bolasipara College (Dhubri, Assam) has been working on this language for more than a quarter of a century now. Through his Ph.D. work and numerous articles in leading magazines published from both Guwahati and Kolkata Dr. Saha has been promoting for conservation of this rich language and culture. recently he is working on a dictionary for Rabha language. Dr. Saha has been honored by the Rabha Society as "Father of Rabha Community". Now Dr. Saha lives in Chandannagar, West Bengal, after his retirement.
