Quincy Center




Quincy Center is an area of Quincy, Massachusetts , centered along Hancock Street and covering the downtown area of the city. The area is a retail shopping localle and also includes the City Hall, the Thomas Crane Public Library , several churches, including the United First Parish Church , where John Adams and John Quincy Adams were laid to rest, and numerous office buildings, including the headquarters of Stop & Shop . A memorial to the soldiers of World War I along with various statues of other great figures can be found in the vicinity. It is served by a large Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) station which includes subway access, bus service and a large parking garage.


SHOPPING AND RESTAURANTS


Quincy Center, which is easily accessible via public transportation, has many shopping areas. There is President's Plaza, which contains a few stores and a restaurant or two. In the heart of Quincy Center one can find a larger variety of stores, from a dollar store to a comic book and collectibles store. ANNUAL EVENTS

Quincy Center is a host to a variety of annual events. One event such event is the "Sidewalk Sale", where many people come from all around to buy items and enjoy some rides and fun events, almost similar to a block party.
