Pikes Peak International Raceway was a one mile oval Auto Racing track located in Fountain, Colorado , south of Colorado Springs and north of Pueblo . Capacity: 42,000 Grandstand seats, 20,000 Infield capacity.

On September 30 , 2005 , it was announced that the track had been bought by the International Speedway Corporation . ISC shut the facility down by November 2005 , and petitioned NASCAR to move the track's Busch Series date to Martinsville Speedway for 2006 . {Link without Title}
