Pritchard succeeded Lefty Reid as curator of the Hockey Hall Of Fame in 1992. Known as "keeper of the Cup" he is one of two men ( Craig Campbell is the other) who annually present the Stanley Cup at centre ice to the championship team at the conclusion of the NHL playoffs. Pritchard has become something of a cultural icon in Canada, having been featured in television commercials and newspaper columns as the keeper of the Stanley Cup. |
