Steve Flett is a singer, songwriter and musician best known for his work with the band Ooberman . He is also a member of Ooberon , and has released solo material under the name Phantom 309 . He is Ooberman Guitarist Andy Flett 's brother. CAREER Ooberman Steve was the third member of Ooberman, supplementing the partnership of his brother Andy and Dan Popplewell. He has contributed to every Ooberman record to date, and is the only bassist credited on any of the band's releases. Phantom 309 Steve has released two EPs under the Phantom 309 name - ''Different Places'' and ''Tokyo Rose''. The former features two tracks which also turned up in the Ooberman catalogue - ''I'm OK'', which features lead vocals by Ooberman vocalist Sophia Churney and was released as a b-side to Beany Bean , and ''Kill The Rabbit'', which was featured in the e-single ZIP File of Heavy Duty. The latter was a radical Remix of ''Honeydew'', a track from Ooberman's Shorley Wall EP. Other released remixes for the band have included ''Beeswax'' (a reworking of ''Bees''), ''Stevetrooper'' (originally ''Stormtrooper''), and the "Pierced Teen Indie Club Mix" of '' Running Girl ''. Ooberon Ooberon was a joint venture between Steve and Andy Flett, following Ooberman's 2003 dissolution. Their Album was eventually released in 2007, some months after the band's first post-reformation album '' Carried Away ''.
