Pete Escovedo is a world-famous Afro-Latin American musician, father to Sheila Escovedo aka Sheila E and brother of Alejandro Escovedo , a Mexican-American musician. He is also the brother of Coke Escovedo , born Thomas Escovedo, a percussionist who played with Carlos Santana in the 1970s. Pete Escovedo was also a percussionist with Santana.
