HISTORY The company was founded on June 1, 1988 by Ross Perot , Texas billionaire and Presidential candidate, after his falling-out with General Motors over the direction of EDS . DIVERSITY Perot Systems was one of only three companies, out of 1,520 total surveyed, to receive the lowest possible rating on the Human Rights Campaign 's Corporate Equality Index in 2006 . The company once offered domestic partner benefits to its employees, under a policy which was canceled in 1998, after Ross Perot returned to the helm of the company.
