She attended Wintringham Girls' Grammar School, Grimsby ; St. Helen's School , Northwood , Middlesex ; Maria Grey College, Twickenham ; and the London Academy Of Music And Dramatic Art . She has the Eveline Evans Award for Best Actress. In 2007 she played Betty, the wife of tycoon Robert Maxwell, in the BBC TV drama Maxwell with David Suchet in the title role.
