Wallabee "Wally" Beetles, a.k.a. '''Wallace''', codenamed '''Numbuh Four''' or '''Numbuh 4''' is a Fictional Character on KND . PROFILE He is the Hand-to-hand Combat expert of Sector V and tends to impulsively attack an enemy without thinking. He was once the self-declared "Temporary Numbuh 1's Not Here Leader of the Kids Next Four" (Operation: C.A.N.N.O.N.) and was eager to be chosen by Numbuh 86 as the leader of Sector V in Operation: F.E.R.A.L., though Numbuh 3 was picked. He is often annoyed at his younger brother, Joey, who sometimes follows him and Numbuh 2 on missions. He tells him to go home when a situation gets dangerous, likely due to concern over Joey's welfare. He became angry and tearful when Joey was cut by one of the Safety Robots in Operation: S.A.F.E.T.Y. He was briefly decommissioned in Operation: E.N.D. along with Numbuhs 2, 3, and 5. He was also the third one to briefly be supreme leader, tagged by Numbuh 86, in Operation: I.T. In Operation O.U.T.B.R.E.A.K., it was revealed that he's allergic to Coconut resulting in swollen lips (Numbuh Four forgot that when he was eating coconut logs). He is a fourth-grader at Gallagher Elementary School (homeroom teacher is Mrs. Thompson, who he had a crush on in Operation: R.O.B.B.E.R.S.); his parents try to send him to a boarding school every year, although he always breaks out by midnight. In Operation: S.N.O.W.I.N.G. he led a group of kids to shoot snowballs at the Bus-Walkers. His alias is "The Tough Kid". Heritage Numbuh Four speaks with an Australian Accent .He is Australian, and is often seen carrying around a kangaroo as a weapon and saying how to say "ouch" in Australian (op. Z.E.R.O.). Also sometimes he can use Australian slang words such as 'mate' (op U.N.D.E.R.C.O.V.E.R) Swimming Numbuh Four could not swim (Op U.N.D.E.R.C.O.V.E.R., Op U.T.O.P.I.A.), although he wants to in evil plot in Operation P.O.O.L., although he still doesn't like doing it (as shown in Operation: C.A.K.E.D.-F.O.U.R. and Operation O.U.T.B.R.E.A.K). Currently, his own pool is filled with sand, in which he loves to be buried. In Operation: N.U.G.G.E.T. he fell in a very shallow river and started to panic. Attitude & Strength He sleeps in a ), and having a tendency to pick on "nerdy" kids (Op B.U.L.L.I.E.S.). His personality is similar to that of Buttercup from '' The Powerpuff Girls ''. However it was revealed that Nigel saved him from bullies when they were younger, before they were KND agents. Also in Operation: A.M.I.S.H. he gave Numbuh 2's friend (Numbuh 42) a 'dead arm' because he was acting like a nerd he was also going to give Numbuh 2 one but was stopped before he could. Future He is turned into an adult briefly along with Numbuhs 1, 2, 3, and 5 in in eighth grade, and it took years to grow back. (note: during the age changing scenes in Operation: G.R.O.W.-U.P., he did not have a Mohawk when he turned into a teenager. He looks a bit taller (but still the shortest one) and has an arm band with the same clothing) Also his future self who is 85 years old is a member of the Boys Next Door, seemingly being in a futuristic-type wheelchair. He also has a hand turned into a girl's hand by Madame Margaret, although this was made to never have happened later. He tried to tell his younger self that he regretted never asking something, but disappears before he can finish his statement (fans speculate that he was going to say he regretted never asking Numbuh 3 on a date). SKILLS Numbuh Four's mother seems to believe he possesses some musical talent, as seen in P.I.A.N.O., and was willing to go to the trouble of purchasing a ballroom sized piano with Wallabee engraved in gold on it. Numbuh Four says he hates playing the piano, thus he skill level is unknown. He does seem to know a bit about musical theory, stating that during lessons he is forced to practice the same songs over and over. It is interesting to note, however, that while he hates learning music, Numbuh Four often rhymes and sings to himself when excited, pleased, or especially nervous or scared. (example: Operations L.I.C.E. and T.R.I.C.K.Y.). He is an exellent hand to hand fighter, defeating negatives 1, 2, 3, 5 and Eizzel without breaking a sweat Recently, it has been revealed that Numbuh 4 considers himself a world class master of when Four could not (Operation D.O.D.G.E.B.A.L.L.). This is only known by Numbuh 2 . Wally himself provides an explanation for this, as he declares early in the episode that when it comes to dodgeball "the younger you are, the better you are". LIKES/DISLIKES Numbuh 4 likes to bury himself in the sand (which is what he is usually doing when the KND go to the beach), although can sometimes not un-bury himself (Operation: B.E.A.C.H.). Numbuh Four hates Hamster s. He dislikes "girly" things, especially Rainbow Monkeys. The one exception to this is that he likes Numbuh Three . He also hates love, as he thinks it makes him sick (Operation: S.N.O.W.I.N.G.). He also acted sick when Numbuh 3 slow-danced with him in Operation: P.A.R.T.Y. to "blend" (although this could be because he had recently been eating deodorant, after Numbuh One told him it was no-melt ice cream). In Op C.H.O.C.O.L.A.T.E. it is said that Numbuh Four hates before Operation: T.R.I.C.K.Y. Numbuh 4 enjoys burying himself in sand, football, soccer, baseball, skateboarding, reading comics, & playing card games. Like Numbuh 2, he collects Yipper trading cards but doesn't have as many rare ones. INTELLIGENCE Since some point in season 2 (and definitely by season 3), he has been characterized as a total idiot who has been shown spelling words grossly incorrectly (Op R.O.B.B.E.R.S. and Op T.R.I.C.K.Y.), makes up things for his reports (Op H.O.U.N.D.), can't even spell his own number as Numbuh 5 stated in Op R.O.B.B.E.R.S. (also shown in the end credits of Operation: I.T.), mangling history in his homework (Op H.O.U.N.D.) Also in operation D.O.G.H.O.U.S.E he was using stupid answers in his homework such as 1+1=72. He has a very tiny , where he says, in regard to colleges Brainwashing smart kids: "If colleges are taking all the smart kids, why haven't they taken ''me'' yet?" Another example is from Op M.O.V.I.E., when the Toiletnator suggests the villains should capture the KND's dumbest member and they all agree it's him, Numbuh 4 doesn't believe they could be talking about him. In some part because of this, he has occasionally done more harm than good to their missions (Op P.I.A.N.O. and Op R.O.B.B.E.R.S. standing out in particular). However, he is able to outsmart some adult villains, normally the Toiletnator. (Op M.O.V.I.E. and Op M.I.S.S.I.O.N.). In earlier episodes, he seemed to be actually one of the smarter members; in Operation: C.A.N.N.O.N. he knew Sector V would be working if Numbuh 1 was there and was the only one who cared that villains were repeatedly attacking them; he was also the one to get Sector V active again in Operation: G.R.O.W.-U.P.; in Operation: P.O.O.L. he reasoned that if Negative Numbuh Four was his opposite then he must be afraid to fight, etc. He also helps Numbuh 2 with robots, all of which hints that he is fairly intelligent, just not school-smart. RELATIONSHIPS Numbuh 1 Wally is faithful to his best friend and leader, even though he has shown an eager willingness to replace him on a number of times when Numbuh 1 was somehow unavailable (Ops C.A.N.N.O.N., F.E.R.A.L.). Says he is his best friend in Operation: B.R.I.E.F. Numbuh 1 does not interact with Numbuh 4 as much as the other operatives and often gets frustrated with 4's impulsive and sometimes destructive behavior. In Operation Z.E.R.O. it is strongly implied that Numbuh 1 was the first to introduce Numbuh 4 to the KND, as he saved him from getting bullied on the first day of school (it does not specify which grade they were in when this happened, but earlier missions implied that Wally had not been in the KND long: he had never been to Moonbase prior to Season 1, and his teammates did not know about his history with boarding school or his inability to swim. However some facts from earlier episodes were either retconned or discarded altogether by the TV movie, notably those of A.R.C.H.I.V.E.) Numbuh 4 also indirectly helped Numbuh 1 realize that U.T.O.P.I.A. was an illusion. Numbuh 2 Is his other best friend. After the Numbuh Three/Four pairing, Hoagie and Wally have shared a large number of missions together (Ops F.I.S.H.Y., B.E.A.C.H.), sometimes even without having any other member of Sector V appearing in the episode (Ops D.O.D.G.E.B.A.L.L., T.H.E.-S.H.O.G.U.N., S.A.F.E.T.Y.). Numbuh 2 is usually portrayed as Wally's "coach" in these occasions, and Wally's little brother, Joey, has also joined them twice. Wally's relationship with Numbuh 2 is assumed stronger than with Numbuh 1 because they have many of the same interests (yipper cards, cheese, and robots). In F.I.S.H.Y. Numbuh 2 says he is Numbuh 4's best friend for the first time in the series, Numbuh 4 seems surprised but pleased with this information. Numbuh 3 Numbuh 4 has a crush on Numbuh 3. ( See Below ) Numbuh 5 Abby does not think much of Numbuh 4 (her worst fear is that he become the president of the United States). She often teases him about his not-so-secret crush with Numbuh Three, sometimes even with Numbuh 2 (Op B.E.A.C.H.). This makes her and Hoagie the only members of Sector V to be apparently aware of Wally's crush. After turning into a Senior Citizombie in Operation Z.E.R.O. she insults Numbuh 4 by calling him the shortest, dumbest, and all-around scardiest member of the KND orginazation, but under normal circumstances she would never be so blunt and callous. Numbuh 5 is also known for helping him with his homework when he asks for help. He looks up to her as something of an older sister figure, seeking advice and approval when unsure of his actions. In Operation M.A.T.A.D.O.R. he tells her that she was to right to chastize him for participating in the bully fights but figures he has made up for his mistake by freeing the captive adults. After a moment of thought, she agrees and playfully ruffles his hair. Notably, in Operation F.O.U.N.T.A.I.N. he inspires Abby to not give up despite overwhelming odds by reminding her that "a big kid (Abby) once told me, we save kids. That's our job". The Kid, King Sandy & Numbuh 30c Because of them flirting with Numbuh 3 or thinking she is cute, Numbuh 4 becomes jealous and has developed some rivalry with The Kid, King Sandy, and Numbuh 30c. LOVE LIFE Numbuh 3 Numbuh Four has a not-so-secret crush on Numbuh Three. One of the show's running gags is his attempts to either confess to her or deny his feelings for her. References to his love for her have ranged from simple acts of defiance in earlier episodes (such as Operation O.F.F.I.C.E.) to more poignant subplots in later ones (Operation E.N.D.). So far, proof to this crush has materialized in: Numbuh Four being heartbroken of Numbuh Three's apparent crush on somebody (Op H.O.S.P.I.T.A.L.), simple flirtation with other kids (The Kid in particular; Ops R.E.C.E.S.S. and C.A.K.E.D.-F.O.U.R.), abduction of Numbuh Three (Ops B.E.A.C.H. and K.A.S.T.L.E., both times by King Sandy), occasions where he had to dance or sing with her (Ops. D.A.T.E. and L.O.V.E. and P.A.R.T.Y.) as well as countless times where they are paired in a mission, by chance or will. Furthermore, Numbuh Four has come to nearly confess his feelings for her (Op U.N.D.E.R.C.O.V.E.R. and briefly in Op L.O.V.E.) and has a drawing of her taped to the wall of his room (Op S.N.O.W.I.N.G). In operation M.O.O.N he still has the drawing of her taped to the wall in his room and he also has another drawing of the Number 3 with a little love heart above it. In Op S.A.T.U.R.N., he talked in his sleep: "So you do like me too? Well why didn't you say it before? You know how I feel." He has a code of making matters "personal" whenever he hurts Numbuh Three in a way he did not intend (Ops C.A.T.S., etc.). When Numbuh Three is kidnapped by King Sandy in Operation: B.E.A.C.H, he goes to great lengths to save her, his excuse being that she owes him a quarter (which she later denies). In Operation: Z.E.R.O, they kiss, albeit at the request of Numbuh Three, who had turned a senior city-zombie in the dark. Nevertheless, Numbuh Four's willingness to do so proves his feelings for her. He is the only character whom she repeatedly hugs (and asks to say "I love you" in Operation C.A.T.S.), sings a duet with him (Operation L.O.V.E.), etc. She's usually seen by him. Many Numbuh 3/4 fans were excited about Operation: P.L.A.N.E.T., where they are sent on a mission to space alone. Supposedly, this would have shed more light on their relationship, but it turned out that Numbuh Three merely had a popcorn kernel stuck in her teeth, thus leaving the topic ambiguous once again. She was also his date in Operation: D.A.T.E. It is also very strange in Operation S.L.U.M.B.E.R, that he was Numbuh 4-30-teen-7 (4 plus 3 equals 7). Numbuh Four just might confess his feelings to Numbuh Three in the season finale, , before it is too late (for the fans anyway). In Europe, on a marathon called ''Pick Your Fridays'' the driver Buck said that Numbuh 4 was in love with Numbuh 3. It seems so obvious. Numbuh 86 In Operation: E.N.D. Numbuh 86 admitted that she thought Numbuh 4 was cute before she decommissioned him. Mrs. Thompson Numbuh 4 thought Mrs. Thompson was cute in Operation: R.O.B.B.E.R.S., thus doing his homework. He has never shown a crush on her again. Presumably, someone told him that she was married. APPEARANCE Numbuh Four wears an orange Hoody , baggy jeans and white sneakers. In Operation: R.E.C.E.S.S. his hoody is shown to have a through pocket in front. He is found wearing orange footed pajamas whenever the KND wear pajamas, as in Operation S.N.O.W.I.N.G Like his brother, he has a bowl-cut mop of blond hair. His bangs usually cover his eyes, which are green (Operation: A.F.L.O.A.T. and D.O.D.G.E.B.A.L.L) He is the shortest member of Sector V. ALTERNATES Admiral In operations MOVIE and CANYON, Numbuh 4 was disguised as an Admiral , with badly taped popcorn boxes as legs. His disguise does not last very long, revealing that the admiral is Numbuh 4 in disguise. Negative Numbuh 4 Numbuh 4's negative side, Eeballaw "Yllaw" Selteeb, appeared in Operation P.O.O.L. when his pool opened a negative world. Negative Numbuh 4 has a goatee, so everyone calls him "goat boy", "the NAStee" and "GOATtie". He and Numbuh 4 have nothing in common at all, except swimming. In this episode, Numbuh 4 learned how to swim and conquered his fear of it. Numbuh 3 seemed to be proud of him at the end of that episode. As his opposite, he is not only a genius, but the leader of the D.N.K. Numbuh 4-30-teen-7 Numbuh 4-30-teen-7 is Numbuh 4 disguised as a girl in Operation: S.L.U.M.B.E.R. Future Numbuh 4 Time-traveler from 75 years in the future. Created the Boys Next Door (BND) to combat Madame Margaret and her army. Old age has made him considerably wiser than Numbuh 4, but also taken a toll on him physically. He typically uses a high-tech wheelchair to get around, and regrets some of the past choices he's made. By travelling to the present and helping the KND, he ensured a better future for children everywhere, but consequently wrote himself and the BND out of existence. General Beetles In Numbuh One's dream, he was the general of President Uno's army who was later on an enemy in Operation W.H.I.T.E-H.O.U.S.E. NUMBUH 4KU Numbuh 4ku is Numbuh 4 in his side of the story,(Op R.E.P.O.R.T). Operation: Z.E.R.O. In the movie, Numbuh 3 volunteers to go to Sector V's treehouse with Numbuh 4 to pick up Numbuh 2's device so he can remodel the birthday suits. They encounter several Senior Citizombies there, and she is turned into a Senior Citizombie. She kisses Numbuh 4 offscreen, which turns him into a Senior Citizombie.
