North Durham is a County Constituency represented in the House Of Commons of the Parliament Of The United Kingdom . It elects one Member Of Parliament (MP) by the First Past The Post system of election.


BOUNDARIES

The constituency is located in the north of County Durham , which is in the North East England region of the United Kingdom . It includes the whole of the Chester-le-Street district and the eastern part of Derwentside district. The main population centres in the constituency are Chester-le-Street , Stanley and Sacriston . The constituency includes the North of England Open Air Museum at Beamish .


Boundary review

Following their review of parliamentary representation in County Durham , the Boundary Commission For England has made only minor changes to the North Durham constituency. The seat will be fought at the UK general election of 2009 or 2010.
