A nomad worker is a skilled mobile worker who follows the work, using modern Communications Technology to perform his job. Modern office workers, IT specialists, accountants, lawyers, journalists and other professionals are beginning to evolve into a new class of nomadic worker. Sophisticated portable computers, Wireless communication systems, mobile Videoconferencing and full Internet connectivity mean that workers can be an integral part of an organisation without necessarily being physically based at a particular site. In essence, modern nomads are skilled mobile workers who follow whoever, whatever or wherever the work is.
