New York State Route 812 is a State Highway in the northern part of New York , USA . The northern end of the highway is the border of Canada , where it crosses the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge and connects with Highway 16 (which connects with Highway 401 and becomes Highway 416 to Ottawa-Hull, Canada ). The south end is in the Village Of Lowville in Lewis County , at the intersection of New York State Route 12 and New York State Route 26 . ROUTE DESCRIPTION New York Route 812 begins at an intersection with its parent route, New York Route 12 .1 Known as North State Street, New York Route 26 is concurrent with the road. Route 26 continues north while Route 812 turns right and heads for Canada . For the next several miles, the only main intersections are for Lewis County Routes 19, 37 and 35. At 9.9 miles, New York Route 126 ends from the left. At 26.65 miles, Route 3 joins and the two roads become concurrent. At 30.77 miles, 812 and 3 enter St. Lawrence County. Route 3 leaves soon after the transition. After 41 miles, Route 58 joins in and the two roads become concurrent. At 80 miles, 812 crosses the Canadian border and becomes Highway 16. HISTORY In the 1930 Renumbering , what is now NY 812 between Lowville and Croghan became part of NY 26A . Additionally, the portion of modern NY 812 between De Kalb and Ogdensburg was signed as part of NY 87 .2 MAJOR INTERSECTIONS
