Belka Belka is a fictional country that was created in the PlayStation 2 video game '' Ace Combat 5 '' by Namco and featured in its prequel Ace Combat Zero . LOCATION The Principality of Belka is located north east of Osea , on the Osean main continent. Before the Belkan War in 1995, Belka could be estimated as being roughly 505,000 km&2 (around the size of Spain); during the height of the war, Belka encompassed an area estimated of around 780,500 km&2 (around the size of Turkey); after the war and loss of its Southern and South Eastern territories it retreated to an area estimated around 390,500 km&2 (around the size of Zimbabwe). Belka is a medium-sized nation, surrounded to the south and east by Ustio , Ratio, Recta, Fato, Gebet and Osea ; Belka has also declared war on all of these countries, plus the Kingdom Of Sapin . Belka's northern coastline runs along the Arctic Ocean. CLIMATE Little is known about Belka's climate. However, judging by its position below the Arctic, it could be surmised that north Belka appears to have very cold winters and cool summers. A mountain range running across the center of the country may provide some protection for the south. Belka's most noticeable weather conditions consist of heavy snowfall. As a result of the nuclear strike carried out near the end of the Belkan War, most of Belka's central mountain range is too dangerous to inhabit due to radioactive fallout. This seems to have had an effect on the weather patterns of the rest of North Belka, turning it into most of it into an Arctic wasteland, throwing North Belka into anarchy. Effects of the blasts also spread as far south as the former Belkan city of Sudentor which only escaped the blast due to the mountains as evidenced by the ground zero crater north of the city. However, North Belka was not always as desolate as it is today. A vacation town on the North Belkan coast a few dozen miles west of Dinsmark used to attract travelers from all over the world before the Belkan war with a warm, serene environment. CULTURE Belka bears several cultural similarities to Germany , including its language. Though never spoken in full sentences in either Ace Combat 5 or Ace Combat Zero , almost all Belkan callsigns in the game are German words. These include the ace squadrons Grün (green), Rot (red), Gelb (yellow), Schwarz (black) and Schnee (snow). The Belkan-based Gründer Industries also takes its name from German, as well as several locations in the country, such as Anfang (Beginning), Südentor (Southern Gate), Hoffnung (Hope), Schirm (Umbrella) and Stier (Bull). Several in-universe magazines pictured on the Japanese website are also in German. The magazines are the "Belkan Fleiger," Flieger being German for flyer. REGIONS Belka was originally divided into North and South Belka. North Belka, also known as Nord Belka, is the Belkan homeland. South Belka was land taken from Osea in an earlier war and acted as a buffer zone between Osea and Belka. After Belka lost the Belkan War, South Belka was returned to Osean territory. NOTABLE PLACES

Leasath (. It seems to also share similarities to North Korea , especially in its relationship to the Federal Republic Of Aurelia . After going through years of Civil War , Leasath is now led by Commanding Officer Diego Gaspar Navarro. Navarro is an Arms Dealer who has profited immensely through the years of war and declares war with Aurelia under false pretenses to continue that profit. As a country, however, Leasath has a high amount of poverty due to the years of civil war. During the war, Aurelia provided Leasath with food and money; however, Navarro spent these resources on weapons and armament to increase his own wealth. Leasath's superweapons include the massive air fortress Gleipnir and its derivative fighter, the Fenrir . GEOGRAPHY Physical Geography Leasath is on the Southern Osean Continent, bordered to the east by the Spring Sea and to the south by Aurelia . Leasath has a Temperate Climate near the Aurelian isthmus, and a Semiarid Climate on its southeastern islands. Human Geography Leasath is similar to North Korea both geographically and in its political relationship with its southern neighbor. Aurelia provided Leasath with large amounts of financial aid during and after its civil war. Despite this generosity, most of Leasath still holds animosity towards Aurelia due to state-sponsored propaganda. Even after years of civil war, Leasath united under Diego Navarro and the hatred towards Aurelia that his regime inspired. Erusea is a fictional country in the Ace Combat world that first appeared in the PlayStation 2 game Ace Combat 4 as the game's antagonist, and was briefly mentioned in the sequel Ace Combat 5 and in 5's prequel Ace Combat Zero . LOCATION Erusea is located on the Western coast of the Usea n continent, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the West and Arctic Ocean to the north, and San Salvacion to the east. Aurelia (. GEOGRAPHY Physical Geography Aurelia is located on the southern coast of the Osean continent. The country occupies a peninsula, with an Isthmus connecting it to the rest of the continent. The western, northeastern and southern coasts are mountainous, while the rest of the country is mostly made up of plains. Aurelia has a Temperate Climate on the isthmus, gradually becoming Semiarid in the center of the nation and Subarctic in the southwest. Much of the nation has an Alpine Climate due to high elevation. Human Geography MILITARY =Gründer Industries= Gründer Industries is a fictional Belka n corporation from the Ace Combat series of video games. HISTORY Gründer Industries was originally known as the South Belkan Munitions Factory. They produced most, if not all of Belka's arms during the Belkan War. After South Belka was ceded to Osea, the company became known as North Osea Gründer Industries and began exporting arms to the superpowers Osea and Yuktobania . In the Cirum-Pacific War, it was discovered that Gründer was helping the Belkan government orchestrate the conflict as part of a plan to revive Belka, the company's headquarters in Sudentor, North Osea was attacked and destroyed by the Razgriz. Eventually the company, by merging with several other corporations, became a major aircraft manufacturer again and renamed itself General Resources, LTD. HISTORY ISAF FORCES =Osea= Osea Osea is a fictional country that was first introduced in the PlayStation 2 video game '' Ace Combat 5 '' by Namco , and was later featured in its prequel Ace Combat Zero . Osea is said to be the world's largest superpower, however Yuktobania rivals it in size as well as military might. LAND AREA The Osean Federation is located in the western and center of the Osean continent, which amounts to about 60% of its land mass. There is no numerical estimate to the size of Osea, but it's estimated that Osea is at least 3 or 4 times the size of Belka before ''The Belkan War'', (which itself is estimated to be around 12,335,000&2 km), and appears to be similar in size to the country it is most often comparable to, the United States in the real world. Osea is a vast nation, with Ceres Ocean on its Northwest coast, the Pacific Ocean bordering the Southwest coast, the Cascade Ocean to the Northeast, and Oured Bay and the Atlantic Ocean in the Southeast. It was bordered by Belka and Sapin before The Belkan War, but after Osea gained South Belka (North Osea) in the conflict with Belka, it added Ustio to its list of bordering nations. The Kingdom of Sapin is a fictional country from the game , Spanish for sword, and Suerte, Spanish for Luck. the nation's capital, Gran Rugido, means "Great Roar." Sapin is bordered by Oured Bay to the south, Ustio to the north, the Futuro canal to the west, and Ratio to the east. HISTORY In 1995, Belka invaded Sapin, as well as Osea and Ustio. Sapin, the Osean Federation , the Union Of Yuktobanian Republics , and the Republic Of Ustio formed the Allied Forces. The Allies won the war and regained their land. In 2020, Sapin still exists, although it is not involved in the Circum-Pacific War or the events of Ace Combat X . MILITARY =Usea= Usea is a fictional Continent from the Ace Combat series of video games. LOCATION Usea is located in the Northern Hemisphere, east of the Osean Continent . It is bordered to the north by the Cascade Ocean, to the west by the Spring Sea, to the south by the Atlantic Ocean, and to the east by the Gulf of Saint Ark. It is about the size of the continental United States , 5,000,000 km&2. GEOGRAPHY Physical Geography Human Geography Ustio is a fictional country in the Ace Combat world that was first introduced in the PlayStation 2 video game '' Ace Combat Zero '' by Namco . It presents a big similarity with the real-life Switzerland . LOCATION The Republic of Ustio is located to the East of Osea and Southeast of Belka . After its independence, it had around three times the land it has now, but by the time of The Belkan War, most of the land had gone to Recta, Gebet, and Ratio. It is a small nation, about the size of Austria , and less than half the size of Belka at its height, but comparable to it, more or less, after its fall. Ustio is a landlocked country not bordering any major bodies of water. It is bordered by Belka, Sapin, Ratio, Recta, and after The Belkan War, by Osea. CLIMATE Ustio has an amazingly diverse climate for its small size. Ustio has a mountain belt that runs through the country. This has created Alpine and tundra conditions in the south, where the mountain range is. In the north, around B7R, the climate seems more arid, forming the craggy canyons that we see. The capital, Directus, is fairly temperate. NOTABLE PLACES HISTORY MILITARY =Yuktobania= Yuktobania Yuktobania ( video game '' Ace Combat 5 '', and later mentioned briefly in its prequel '' Ace Combat Zero ''. It is one of the largest countries in the Ace Combat World, and rivals the current superpower Osea in terms of military might. LOCATION Yuktobania is not located on the same continent as Belka or Osea . It is on the other side of the Ceres Ocean which divides the two main continents. Before the 2010 Circum-Pacific War (otherwise known as the Osean-Yuktobonian conflict) Yuktobania is roughly estimated as being 14,660,000 km&2 (around the size of Canada ) A rather important part of the country has been occupied by the Osean forces during the conflict, but they are assumed to have been given back after the war. Yuktobania is surrounded by Verusa, Sotoa,Clavis. and to the north, the continent of Anea with three countries: The Kingdom of Nordenavvic, The Republic of Emmeria, and the Federal Republic of Estovakia. Yuktobania is a huge country whose Sphere Of Influence is spread all over the world as one of the world's superpowers. It has been placed on a continent opposite from Osea to show geographically the Eastern-Western split of the world. (As it was in the Cold War in real life.)
