The Nasher Museum of Art is the art museum of Duke University , and is located on Duke's campus in Durham , North Carolina , USA . The $23 million museum was designed by architect Rafael Viñoly , and opened on October 2 , 2005 . A student preview three days earlier drew over 2000 undergraduates and graduate students. The museum, named for Raymond Nasher , contains more than 13,000 works of art acquired mostly by private donations, including pieces by Andy Warhol , Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec , and Pablo Picasso .

Recently, it was announced that Nasher would host the major moving exhibit "" from August 22 through November 9, 2008. This exhibit will feature 70 paintings by El Greco , Velazquez and contemporaries such as Juan Sanchez Cotan . {Link without Title}
