The editorial team of the news consists of 7 Editors-in-chief , with Hans Laroes being main chief editor. TELEVISION Television broadcasts of NOS News can be seen on channels of the '' Publieke Omroep '', the Dutch public broadcaster. Its main bulletin is at 8.00 PM on Nederland 1 , having around 1.5 to 2.0 million viewers daily (around 1/5 of the market share around that hour). The 8.00 bulletin has a duration of 25 minutes. Other bulletins may vary in length, but evening broadcasts are overall longer than daytime ones. Morning bulletins The first NOS News broadcast is at 7 AM on weekdays and has a duration of approximately 5 to 10 minutes. It consists of a round-up of news of the evening before and 'fresh' foreign news. On top of that, it broadcasts the main sports news and the 'Verder Vandaag'-rubric (best translated as 'other news today'), which consists of short news messages. It is presented from the redaction studio. Presenters are: Brecht van Hulten, Aldith Hunkar, Astrid Kersseboom, Jeroen Overbeek, Jeannette Schuurman, Jeroen Tjepkema, Rik van de Westelaken and Herman van der Zandt. The morning news is incorporated with the programme Goedenmorgen Nederland (Goodmorning Netherlands) on Nederland 1 and is comparable with the former news broadcasts by Moira Stuart on BBC's Breakfast programme. The morning news is repeated on Nederland 2. There is a fresh news bulletin on top of the hour. The morning news runs until 10 AM. At 11 AM the Daytime news starts. Daytime bulletins The daytime bulletins run from 11 AM until 5 PM. Their content is roughly the same as the morning bulletins, but without the Sports News and 'Verder Vandaag'. At 1 AM there is an extended broadcast with Sports News, though, presented by a sports editor/presenter (Tom Egbers, Dione de Graaff, Toine van Peperstraaten, Henry Schut, Jeroen Stomphorst). The main presenters of the Daytime News are the same as the presenters of the Morning Bulletins, though Noraly Beyer occasionally appears. These bulletins too are presented from the redaction studio. The Daytime News is repeated on Nederland 1. The next bulletin is on every top of the hour. 6 O'Clock News The 6 O'Clock News is the first main news broadcast of the evening and has a duration of 20 minutes. The programme is incorporated with Een Vandaag on Nederland 1. The 6 O'Clock News is presented from the big studio, that is shared with NOVA (Nederland 2 Current Affairs). It is headed by the same presenter as the 10 O'Clock News, but it has no main anchor. Presenters include: Gerard Arninkhof, Noraly Beyer, Aldith Hunkar, Astrid Kersseboom, Jeroen Overbeek, Jeanet Schuurman and Rik van de Westelaken. There is an extended weather report at the end of the bulletin, presented by Gerrit Hiemstra, Marjon de Hond, long serving Erwin Kroll or Marco Verhoef. 8 O'Clock News Anchored mostly by is stand-in presenter. There is also an extended weather report at the end of the bulletin. 10 O'Clock News The 10 O'Clock News is broadcast just before NOVA/Den Haag Vandaag starts and is shorter than the 8 O'Clock bulletin. It is broadcast on Nederland 2. The programme is broadcast from the big studio and is preluded by an announcement of the NOVA presenter, who reveals tonight's NOVA subjects. He or she also announces the 10 O'Clock News and when he or she does that, the viewer can see a large shot of the studio with the NOVA set and the NOS News set. Late bulletins The Late bulletins are broadcast at Nederland 1 at the end of the day, after the late night talkshow. Most of the time, it is broadcast at 11.50 PM on Nederland 1. It is broadcast from the big studio. The 8 O'Clock News is repeated throughout the night after this last bulletin. Weekend bulletins On Weekends there are less NOS News broadcasts. Daytime Broadcasts are mainly presented by Noraly Beyer and Brecht van Hulten. Evening broadcasts are mainly presented by Gerard Arninkhof, Jeroen Overbeek and Jeanet Schuurman. RADIO NOS Journaal can also be heard on the radio channels of the ''Publieke Omroep''. Branding There are short bulletins on top of every hour and there are extended broadcasts on Radio 1 throughout the day. The latter broadcasts were formally known as ''Het Radio-1 Journaal'', but were rebranded ''NOS Journaal (Radio)'' in December 2005. News broadcasts on the popular music channel 3FM, as well as on the digital radiostation FunX, are branded ''NOS Headlines''. Short news bulletins are most of the time preluded by countdown beeps and an announcement of the newsreader: "Dit is het NOS journaal van 11:00 uur, ik ben Jeroen van Dommelen" (''This is the 11 AM NOS Journaal, my name's Jeroen van Dommelen.'') The ''NOS Journaal'' has a distinctive news tune, which is aired to mark the beginning or the ending of a broadcast or timeslot. It was composed by Jeroen Kuitenbrouwer. INTERNET Homepage The NOS News home page shows news articles in text, as well as reports in audio and video. It contains an archive of most of the NOS News radio and television broadcasts and there are in-depth files ('dossiers') and columns of correspondents around the world. One can learn about the 'birth of a news-item' and there is information on the presentation team. Digital TV Since 2004, NOS News has broadcast NOS Journaal-24. CIt has no own studio or presentation team, instead consisting of repeats of NOS News television broadcasts and Ceefax/Teletext news. This makes it similar to the world's second news channel CBC Newsworld . One can only view it on the Internet or on digital TV through a limited number of cable operators. TRIVIA
