Note: Based on 2002-2003 school year data Citing declining enrollment, Samuel Rogers Middle School and Latimer Elementary School have been closed, despite opposition from parents and students from both schools. All middle school students have been channeled to Castro Middle School , now renamed Moreland Middle School . A large portion of the students from Latimer were redirected to Gussie Baker Elementary School and George Payne Elementary School . Both of the closed schools' lots are being rented out.
