Midwest Connect




Midwest Connect is the brand name for the Regional Airline service of Midwest Airlines . Since Midwest Connect was created in 1989, only Skyway Airlines has operated under this name, but, since April 1, 2007, SkyWest has also provided service using the Midwest Connect name.1

Midwest Connect currently flies to 34 destinations throughout Canada and the United States . On April 1, Midwest's newest commuter carrier, SkyWest , began new routes to Minneapolis / Saint Paul, Minnesota , and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania , and on May 1, began new service to Kansas City, Missouri and San Antonio, Texas . SkyWest also added Raleigh / Durham, North Carolina on June 1, and added Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 1, 2007. On August 1, SkyWest began service to Newark, New Jersey , and September 16, 2007, SkyWest will begin service to Austin, Texas , and Charlotte, North Carolina , and on September 30, 2007, Skyway will discontinue service to Marquette, Michigan , increasing Midwest Connect's destination count to 35.


FLEET

As of September 2007, the Midwest Connect fleet includes 24 aircraft:






  • All Midwest Connect aircraft feature leather seating, and jet aircraft feature freshly baked cookies on select routes.
