High Schools in Howard County, Maryland , hold their graduation ceremonies at Merriweather Post in either late May or early June of each year. Jimmy Buffett has played MPP more than any other artist -- over 40 times. Jackson Browne recorded portions of '' Running On Empty '' at Merriweather. The Eagles recorded a live album at Merriweather in 1977. Linda Ronstadt performed her hardest and most rocking performances at this Baltimore area appearance, Aug. 25, 1978 . Introducing her version of the Rolling Stones ' "Tumbling Dice" for the first time. On June 20th of 2000, Britney Spears opened her Oops!... I Did It Again World Tour at the pavilion.
