Welsh Cricket er who played in 9
Tests for England from 1930 to 1936.
A talented all round sportsman, he captained Cambridge University in his final year and Glamorgan for 10 seasons and gained two rugby union caps for Wales in 1932-33. He also represented Wales at hockey and was squash champion for South Wales. He is the only one to play cricket for England and rugby for Wales. As a major in the Welsh Guards he was killed instantly by a sniper's bullet during the Normandy landings in 1944.
