HISTORY

Maumee Valley Country Day School started out as the Smead School for Girls, run by Miss Mary Smead. http://www.mvcds.org/History.asp In 1934, it relocated to its current location on South Reynolds road.http://www.mvcds.org/History.asp


ACADEMICS

ACT and SAT scores annually rank far above the national and state averages.http://www.mvcds.org/campus_quickfacts.asp Upper School students also participate in a month-long intensive study program called Winterim, in which they engage in one of many specialized courses offered by the school.


ATHLETICS

The school is a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) and competes in the nine-school Toledo Area Athletic Conference . The school has co-ed teams in eight sports at the varsity and junior varsity levels.
