Maryland Route 193 is a roughly 26-mile-long east-west State Highway through Montgomery County and Prince George's County in the U.S. State of Maryland . It serves a number of communities in those counties, including College Park , Greenbelt , Langley Park , Silver Spring , and Kensington . Route 193 is called University Boulevard (named after the University Of Maryland, College Park ) from its western terminus to its junction with U.S. Route 1 ( Baltimore Avenue) in College Park; Greenbelt Road from its junction with Route 1 to Maryland Route 450 ; and Enterprise Road from Route 450 to its eastern terminus in Upper Marlboro . Route 193's intersection with U.S. Route 29 (Colesville Road) in Silver Spring is informally known as " Four Corners ". Route 193 crosses the Capital Beltway (I-495) twice--once in Greenbelt, and once in Silver Spring. Other major junctions are with Route 1 in College Park, with Maryland Route 650 ( New Hampshire Avenue ) in Langley Park, with Maryland Route 97 ( Georgia Avenue ) in Glenmont , with Maryland Route 201 (Kenilworth Avenue) in Greenbelt, and with the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (Route 295), also in Greenbelt. Route 193 once extended south along Connecticut Avenue , which is now Maryland Route 185 . REFERENCES EXTERNAL LINKS |
