Maryland Route 185 is a State Highway in Montgomery County, Maryland , United States , and is the segment of Connecticut Avenue from the District Of Columbia border at Chevy Chase Circle to Georgia Avenue ( Maryland Route 97 ) near Aspen Hill . (Connecticut Avenue continues north for a short distance to Bel Pre Road.) The portion south of the intersection with University Boulevard Kensington was previously known as Maryland Route 193 ; this route number is currently in use for University Boulevard. In addition, the part south of East-West Highway ( Maryland Route 410 ) used to be designated U.S. Route 240 Alternate .


AUXILIARY ROUTES

The ramps at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Veirs Mill Road ( Maryland Route 586 ) are designated (but not signed) as Maryland Routes 185A-185D. The portion of Chevy Chase Circle in Maryland is designated (but not signed) as Maryland Route 185E.
