Marta Laureano wanted to speak her Native Language , Spanish with her child, so that she would grow up Bilingual . The divorced English-speaking father took legal action against Laureano and won the case. The father felt that if the mother spoke with the child in only Spanish, that he wouldn't be able to communicate with her.
