Lucy Fernandez is a fictional character in . She is portrayed by Anais Granofsky BIOGRAPHY First depicted as a stylishly dressed girl with fairly "loose" parents, Lucy has evolved over the run of the Degrassi series. Character History Junior High She was once caught shop lifting some dresses with her friend Voula. When her parents were out of town for the weekend, she often held parties, the most notable of which was when Shane McKay and Spike had sex. She also dated a 11th grader from high school but broke up with him after he tried to go "too far", Afterwards she had an on-and-off relationship with Clutch, another 11th grader. Her best friend was Lorraine Delacorte also known as L.D. Lucy taught L.D. how to act more girly since L.D. was much of a tomboy and used to play games with the boys. In the beginning of Degrassi Junior High she had a close friendship with classmate Voula. But since Lucy and Voula were caught shop lifting some dresses her father didn't consider Lucy a proper friend for Voula. In school Lucy tried to approach Voula but she avoided her. Lucy kept holding her parties even though her parents had gotten suspicious since it came to their knowledge that she had shop lifted. Lucy was always afraid that something in the house would be broken and such things. Lucy gets abused There was a teacher that worked at Degrassi for a while who got Lucy-addicted. He always gave Lucy the highest scores in tests and said that he could relate to her texts but in the end he abused her by getting her alone with him and touching her. A fellow classmate of Lucy happened to come in to the classroom in time to see the teacher touching Lucy. The teacher got upset and Lucy ran off. The next day the classmate told Lucy he would stand by her side. Degrassi High In the 10th grade she helped Joey, Wheels, and Snake make the video for "Everybody Wants Something". It then lead to the making of her video of "It Creeps!!" in which she received an A+ for. She was there for her best friend L.D. when she was diagnosed with Leukemia and also had and on-and-off relationship with Clutch, a transfer from Borden High. In 11th grade it was the beginning of Lucy's relationship with Bronco (the school president) in which they dating for the whole year up until "School's Out". She also ran to become Degrassi's school president in her senior year and won though didn't end up fulfilling it due to Degrassi closing down the next year. In "School's Out" we find Lucy being Degrassi's Valedictorian in her grade level. Also during "School's Out" Wheels gets behind the wheel drunk and she is in the car, Wheels ends up killing a kid and Lucy ends up being temporarily blind. Her last appearance is the series premeire of Degrassi the Next Generation, where Joey is selling a car to her before the reunion and before she moved to New Mexico to run her company. She also returns in the Degrassi: The Next Generation episode "White Wedding", being one of Spike's bridesmaids for her wedding to Snake. |
