Louis Glass




Glass was a contemporary of Carl Nielsen , but unlike his more famous countryman, Glass worked in the Romantic tradition, drawing strongly on inspiration from Wagner , Anton Bruckner and César Franck . He was also a Pianist and teacher.

He wrote six symphonies (1893-1926), which have been recorded on the Danacord record label, while some Chamber Music has been recorded on Da Capo .
