HISTORY

Route 490 began on 23 August 1997 , from the withdrawn section of Route 90 between Feltham and Richmond. The route was initially run by London Buslines (now part of First London ) between Hatton Cross and Richmond using low floor yellow single deck Dennis Dart / Marshall Capital s.

On 28 April 2001 , the operation was transferred to Tellings Golden Miller (TGM) from Fulwell Garage using Optare Excel s, which were replaced by Dennis Dart SLF / Plaxton Pointer s in 2002 . TGM passed to Travel London in September 2005.

Route 490 will be extended to Heathrow Terminal 5 via Heathrow Terminal 4 and Cargo Area in March 2008.
