La-Z-Boy Incorporated is a Furniture Manufacturer based in Monroe, Michigan , USA , and is one of the world’s leading producers of residential furniture, with a growing presence in the office, hospitality, health care, and assisted-living furniture industries. The company also manufactures and imports wood furniture products from outside the United States for resale in North America . They are best known for their Recliner s, but they also produce Chair s, Sofas , Table s and Rug s, as well as accent accessories such as Lamp s, Pillow s, and Mirror s.


STRUCTURE

The Company is divided into two segments - the ''Upholstery Group'', which manufactures and distributes upholstered furniture, and the ''Casegoods Group'', which manufactures, imports and distributes wood furniture.

The La-Z-Boy Upholstery Group companies are Bauhaus, Centurion, England, and the eponymous La-Z-Boy.

The La-Z-Boy Casegoods Group companies are American Drew, American of Martinsville, Hammary, Kincaid, Lea, and Pennsylvania House.

La-Z-Boy Incorporated products are marketed through network of stand-alone La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, La-Z-Boy Comfort Studios, and La-Z-Boy In-Store Galleries, along with the display programs of several other La-Z-Boy brands.


OPERATIONS

Although all La-Z-Boy products are made in the United States, the manufacturing process involves the collaboration of 15 independent divisions operating manufacturing facilities in nine states in the U.S and in Canada along with manufacturing operations in Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Thailand.
