KMVU is a local FOX television affiliate based in Medford, Oregon . The station serves the Rogue Valley and Klamath Basin of southern Oregon and the Shasta Cascade region in northern California, and is owned by Stainless Broadcasting Company . The station primarily broadcasts regular FOX network programs as well as syndicated shows.

FOX 26 acquired the local rights to television classics '' Happy Days '' and '' Little House On The Prairie '' sometime in the 1990s. They produce a special non-televised contest called "Southern Oregon Idol", which started in 2004. The winner goes on to try out for '' American Idol ''.


NEWSCAST

In 2006, the station began broadcasting ''FOX 26 First At Ten'', a 10 o'clock local news program in partnership with KOBI-TV . The newscast is anchored by Audrey Kuchen, with meteorologist Jeff Heaton handling weather and Craig Smullin anchoring sports.
