KCOY-TV in Santa Maria, CA and currently identifies itself as Fox 11. KKFX's only local news broadcast is called ''Fox 11 News First at 10'' (the package similarly used by Clear Channel FOX affiliate
KCBA ), produced by KCOY. KKFX's news graphics are similar to what Fox's LA flagship
KTTV used until the FOX news package used was set in place for KTTV in April 2006. Notably, KTTV was the default Fox station for the Central Coast area before KKFX signed on.
KKFX-CA is owned by
Clear Channel Communications , which on
April 20 ,
2007 entered into an agreement to sell its entire television stations group to
Providence Equity Partners .
