HISTORY


The airline was established on 8 August 1975 and started operations on 15 September 1975 . It was formed to operate services between Japan and Taiwan , but has since extended its routes to other Asian destinations. It was formed in 1975 after the People's Republic Of China threatened to deny JAL's proposed routes to the Mainland over JAL's and Air China 's reciprocal flights (see Political Status Of Taiwan ).
