Information About

Interstate Cadet

The aircraft in its original version (the S-1 variant) was powered by the 50hp Continental A-50 engine, however after receiving complaints stating that the plane was underpowered, Interstate switched to the S-1A variant which employs the 65hp Continental A-65 engine. This was the mainstay used in most small two-seat aircraft of the time.

In the 1970s the design was revived in a modernised form as the Arctic Aircraft Arctic Tern .
