The activities of the IIBA include contributing to a professional certification of business analysts through the Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) designation, the development of the Business Analysis Body Of Knowledge (BABOK), as well as coordinating efforts of IIBA chapters worldwide. The IIBA held its inaugural meeting in October 2003 , in Toronto , Canada with 28 founding members from 21 different organizations representing eight countries. In April 2005 , the IIBA held its second Annual General Meeting in Toronto at which its first Board of Directors were appointed. In November 2006 , the IIBA held the first CBAP exam in Orlando , Florida . Today, the IIBA supports the growing field of Business Analysis in a variety of domains including Finance , Information Technology , Health Sciences , Industry and Corporate Business . The IIBA has chapters in cities throughout the United States and Canada, and a growing number of chapters in Australia , India , New Zealand , Nigeria , South Africa and the United Kingdom .
