The Maltese notable Imperia Gatto was the 4th Baroness of the Barony Of Djar-il-Bniet E Buqana and a Baroness of Budaq . Her parents, Paola di Castelli suo Jure Heiress to the Barony of Buqana and Baron Francesco Gatto were married in 1397. Imperia had one half-sister, Paolo Gatto, who was an illegitimate child from her fathers slave mistress Meymuna. After her fathers death in 1442 , Imperia succeeded his title and married the Spanish Baron Antonio Inguanez (died 1458), who was closely related to the royal Aragona family of Sicily . Antonio and Imperia produced not only descendants to most Maltese, Sicilian, Roman, Neapolitian nobility, but also royalty in Western Europe such as Queen Paola Of Belgium , the Orleans-Bourbons, and Austria-Este .
