The ''ITV News at 10.30'' is the flagship news programme on British TV channel ITV . It was introduced into the ITV Network's schedule as the '''''ITV News at Ten Thirty''''' on 2 February 2004 , following the demise of '' News At Ten ''. The ''News at 10.30'' is followed by a 10-minute regional news update at 10.55.

The programme is a twenty-five minute broadcast presented by ITV News ' head anchor Mark Austin , usually from Mondays to Thursdays, with and James Mates or Alastair Stewart standing in on Fridays, and whenever Mark is unavailable. It is on the air Monday to Friday from 10.30pm until 10.55pm. It features in-depth reports and interviews from ITV News' top correspondents, following in the footsteps of the prestigious '' News At Ten ''. There is a comprehensive sport round-up, and is followed by a ten minute round-up of news from the ITV regions around the United Kingdom. The programme also features a brief business update, and a look at the following days newspaper front pages.

Its main rival is the '' BBC Ten O'Clock News '' on BBC One , which consistently beats it in the ratings and airs half an hour before it. Its other main rival is the BBC 's other flagship evening news programme '' Newsnight '' over on BBC Two .
