The tune to the HPHS Alma Mater is borrowed from the ''Cornell University Alma Mater.'' A version of the tune played by the Cornell Chimes can be found at the Cornell University's ''Cornell Chimes'' web page. Traditionally this song is proudly performed by the student body, faculty, staff, and Alumni at the beginning of every assembly, home Football Games and of course at the annual commencement ceremony. :On her green stands H.P. high school :Neath fair skies of blue: :May she ever stand so proudly :Glorious to view. :Lift the chorus, speed it onward :Over the hill and dale. :Hall to thee, our Alma Mater, :H.P. hail, all hail. :Through her halls the memories linger :Of our high school days-- :Comradeship and love and courage, :Loyalty and praise. :Blest by love of all her children, :None will her betray. :See her colors proudly waving. :Hail the orange and Gray.
