GEOGRAPHY According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 93.3 Km&2 (36.0 Mi&2 ). 88.0 km&2 (34.0 mi&2) of it is land and 5.2 km&2 (2.0 mi&2) of it (5.61%) is water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census 2 of 2000, there were 6,363 people, 2,125 households, and 1,742 families residing in the city. The Population Density was 72.3/km&2 (187.2/mi&2). There were 2,174 housing units at an average density of 24.7/km&2 (64.0/mi&2). The racial makeup of the city was 97.16% White , 0.20% African American , 0.42% Native American , 1.43% Asian , 0.05% Pacific Islander , 0.20% from Other Races , and 0.53% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.35% of the population. There were 2,125 households out of which 45.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.5% were Married Couples living together, 6.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.0% were non-families. 12.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 2.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.99 and the average family size was 3.30. In the city the population was spread out with 31.3% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 34.6% from 25 to 44, 22.7% from 45 to 64, and 4.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 104.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 105.6 males. The median income for a household in the city was $63,450, and the median income for a family was $65,222. Males had a median income of $44,069 versus $31,110 for females. The Per Capita Income for the city was $24,334. About 1.4% of families and 1.5% of the population were below the Poverty Line , including 0.9% of those under age 18 and 6.1% of those age 65 or over.
