- in '''']] Harry Alan Sinclair (born 1959 in Auckland , New Zealand ) is a Filmmaker , Actor , and Musician . He was a member of the musical/theatrical duo The Front Lawn with Don McGlashan . This collaboration led to the production of three Short Film s '' Walkshort '', '' The Lounge Bar '', and '' Linda's Body ''; the latter featuring the Song '' Ngaire '', which later became a hit for McGlashan's Band The Mutton Birds . Since then, Sinclair has written, directed, and produced the Film s '' Topless Women Talk About Their Lives '', '' The Price Of Milk '', and '' Toy Love ''. It is a commonly held misconception that rather than scripting all Dialogue , Sinclair involves the actors in the creative process, and films in chronological sequence. What he actually does is spend the week writing the Script and then only shooting for three days in the weekends. This allows him to explore ideas as they come to him and avoid the pitfalls of 'development Hell' where creative ideas can be suppressed. There is no evidence that this process leads to any more input from the actors. Harry appeared as a minor character (Roger) in Braindead - his brother, Stephen, worked on the story and screen play. He also appeared, more notably, as Isildur in ''The Lord Of The Rings'' Movie Trilogy . EXTERNAL LINKS |
