OVERVIEW Harry Hutchinson has a fountain of experience, which makes him useful to have around Holby South station for advice. Hutchinson is caustious and likes to build up a case with all the facts and evidence he can find before rushing in and making accusations, which he often has to remind to DI John Keenan who isn't completely by the book. Hutchinson also expects his staff to work to a good standard and do things his way.DCI Hutchinson is currently nearing a good retirement to a cottage in Cornwall, but he will risk the respect of his colleagues and his reputation to secretly secure his pension. But will his plan be successful? CHARACTER HISTORY On 1x01, Harry wasted no time introducing new DS, Luke French to his new DI, John Keenan , Harry carefully reminded Keenan to get all the evidence before he jumped in with accusations about loose paedophile Russell Bennett (who was later arrested by trainee PC Lucy Slater), Hutchinson later warned Keenan about all the lies he'd told who had claimed that Bennett was a terroist so he could just arrest him. On 1x02, Hutchinson agreed to the raid operation to catch drug dealer Neculai Stenga in the act of a shipment of crystal meth. This raid was carried out on 1x03 but failed, Stenga had been informed of the raid and knew due to inside information, from non other than DCI Harry Hutchinson who was given a share of cash from Stenga who was grateful for Hutchinson's tip.Harry later visited wounded trainee PC lucy Slater at the hospital who claimed that Desk Sergeant Mac was the main hero of the attack that was carriedc out by an agitated killer called Martin who wanted to be brought to justice. Hutchinson was skeptical and told Mac , who he used to work alongside when he was younger that he may impress the younger officers but there's a reason why he's stuck at the station. |
